As a society, we pride ourselves in organising events which are all about inclusivity, not exclusivity, and which cater to a wide range of interests throughout the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
We have a multitude of events ranging from Hackathons, lectures and discussions and escape rooms!
So hopefully there is something to suit everyone!

Join WiSTEM and PhysSoc for another in our series of informal talks with Edinburgh's own #HeroesOfSTEM. Dr Kristel Torokoff, the Queen of Sweden herself, will be discussing her career, followed by an opportunity to ask questions about her work and experiences. There will, of course, be snacks. YOGA WORKSHOP!

ADA LOVELACE DAY 2018

Ada Lovelace Day is a day for the international achievement of women in STEM. In 2018 we had a particular focus on Contemporary Women in STEM which involved an evening networking event provided for by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

HELLO WORLD HACKATHON

A 24-hour hackathon which was ran in conjunction with the Programming Society which involved beginners workshops and saw some great industry sponsorships from Bloomberg, RBS, CCG, The Institute of Physics and TeachFirst!

EUWISTEMXSOFTWIRE: ESCAPE ROOM

This event allowed you to test your ability to become a software engineer in the form of an escape room layout! It tested problem solving and teamwork but also was a fun activity where you could learn more about what it was like to work as a software engineer at Softwire!
